Orleans Technical College Celebrates 50 Years with Ribbon Cutting of Newly Renovated Campus
Orleans Technical College hosted a special 50th Anniversary Celebration and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to unveil our newly renovated campus alongside The Department of Labor & Industry, local elected officials, donors, JEVS board members, faculty, staff, and students.
The ceremony consisted of speeches from JEVS President & CEO, Cynthia Figueroa, Department of Labor Secretary, Nancy Walker, State Representative, Martina White, and construction and architecture representatives from Intech and Fifteen.
The months-long project, which began this summer, was funded by Pennsylvania’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) and will assist us in continuing the legacy of educational excellence. “Today, we honor 50 years of Orleans Technical College’s dedication to preparing individuals for meaningful, living-wage, high-demand careers,” said Cynthia F. Figueroa, JEVS President & CEO.
Orleans Technical College has trained and prepared thousands of students over the past 50 years for in-demand skills in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and more recently healthcare. “For half a century, Orleans Technical College has empowered Pennsylvanians with the skills they need for family-sustaining careers,” said Department of Labor & Industry Secretary Walker. These renovations will help improve the student experience for years to come.
