Orleans Technical College Trains Students to Address Growing Shortages in the Construction Industry
This year, the construction industry needed an estimated 439,000 new workers to meet high demand, according to Associated Builders and Contractors. This shortage leaves many open roles that need to be filled by skilled and trained workers.
It also results in issues like project delays, increased costs, and budget strain leading to unfinished projects in the community.
Orleans Technical College is doing our part in training tomorrow’s skilled tradespeople and connecting them with employers. Our students are trained and prepared to meet this level of demand, making them valuable assets to the construction industry.
From classes in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Heating to Residential and Commercial Electricity, our variety of building trades courses gives interested students several training options and career paths.
We are proud to do our part in addressing these shortages by preparing tomorrow’s building trades workforce.
