1. What can students expect with you as the Lead Instructor for the Associate Degree in Specialized Business – Construction Management program?

My role as the Lead Instructor for the construction management program is to teach and mentor the students to further their education and experience by using my diverse construction knowledge and project experience from my 45-year commercial construction career.

2. Could you give us a brief overview of what the ASB-CM program will look like for students?

The construction management curriculum that we have incorporated will involve the students taking entry level courses (Blueprint Reading, Construction Methods & Materials and Workplace Safety) and taking on more in-depth courses (Estimating, Surveying, Building Retrofits and Construction Law)

3. What are the benefits of getting your associate degree in construction management?

The associate degree in construction management will enable the students to move up in the industry from the trades persons to entry level positions with construction management and general contracting firms.

4. What job opportunities are available for students who complete this program?

After the students complete the associate degree program, they will be hired for positions such as Field Engineer, Surveyor, Engineering Assistant, Assistant Project Manager, Cost Engineer or Purchasing Assistant.
