A high school diploma or GED is required for enrollment. The good news is that Orleans Tech’s parent organization, JEVS Human Services, operates free programs for Philadelphia youth who want to prepare for the GED, gain skills training and receive job search assistance. Learn more below.

Project WOW (World of Work) offers 24-week property maintenance training, trades diploma and GED preparation for youth ages 18–24 throughout Philadelphia who have dropped out of high school.

E3 Power Center City provides education, employment, empowerment and life-skills training to out-of-school youth, designed to help youth re-engage academically and develop the skills needed to be successful in the global economy.

In addition, the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy offers free courses and GED testing. Find out how you can get your GED by calling (215) 686-5250 or visiting the Mayor’s Commission on Literacy website.

We also require a valid driver’s license. Learn more about how to get a driver’s license at the DMV website.
