My focus is always to identify viable employment opportunities for Orleans’ building trades graduates. I enjoy being a catalyst that helps Orleans’ graduates connect with our many Employer Partners. The graduate embarks on a new career path, in a well-paying career, full of promise; while the employer’s needs are met by hiring a well-trained, highly motivated, young professional eager to grow with their business.
How do you fulfill the Orleans and JEVS (parent organization) missions in “making hope happen” for each student that trains with us:
It is fulfilling to be a part of “Making Hope Happen” in the lives of Orleans’ graduates on a daily basis. Orleans students make many sacrifices; time, family, money, etc. I’ve seen those commitments pay off, from graduating and landing their ideal job, increasing their earning power, and using their trades skills to better their families’ living situations and help to build and improve their communities.
A good day at Orleans Tech is when…
Employers Partners are on Orleans Tech’s campus, visiting classrooms and getting to know graduates. Recruiting and Hiring events spark lots of enthusiasm and hope for the future. Employers overview their companies, offer one to one interviews, and many times graduates are hired on the spot! That’s a great day!
