Celebrating Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month at OTC

February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, a time to celebrate and acknowledge the vital role CTE plays in preparing our students for careers in the local, regional, and national workforce.

Why is CTE Important?

  1. CTE programs help to engage students with hands-on learning different from a traditional classroom setting.
  2. CTE brings adult learners and instructors together promoting a collaborative learning environment where students can apply what they learn.
  3. CTE allows students to become certified in a trade in less time and at a lower cost than traditional post-secondary options.
  4. CTE also supports businesses and the economy by equipping students with skills that help them easily transition into the workforce.

CTE at OTC

Orleans Technical College has been providing CTE programming to adult learners in Philadelphia for 50 years. Our courses provide students with hands-on training in building trades and medical training that prepares them for careers in in-demand fields.

If you or someone you know is ready to begin their CTE journey, visit the link here to get started!
