JEVS Project WOW Led Her to Carpentry at Orleans Tech: Meet Cailee

JEVS Project WOW students spend their days on our campus completing coursework to receive their high school diploma and learning property maintenance and repair skills. Some of the students find a passion for building trades and want to continue honing their skills after they graduate from WOW.

Students like Cailee excel not only in their studies, but also in the trades and take the initiative to learn more. Cailee secured a full scholarship to attend Orleans Technical College and enroll in our carpentry program to expand her skills and do what she loves. She aims to become a woodworker and build her own home, and she got her start through Project WOW and Orleans Tech.

She gives credit to her support system at WOW for helping her gain confidence and become more social. When asked what advice she has for any young person interested in the trades she shared, “Just go and do it. Sign up for a program and don’t give up on it or yourself. You can’t fail if you just keep going.”
